omni:us begins 2021 with the appointment of a new Chief Technology Officer, Jörg Niestroj. Due to ongoing success in delivering intelligent claims management systems to the North American and European insurance markets, former CTO and omni:us founder Harald Gölles will shift to the newly created role of Chief Software Architect and henceforth focus solely on product development.
Taking over the day-to-day management of engineering and scientific teams will be Jörg Niestroj, a veteran CTO of the data technology space, most recently with the Eucon Group of Münster. Mr. Niestroj has extensive experience in R&D, product development and engineering.
As CTO at Eucon, he introduced a fully digitalized claims process from FNOL to Settlement, by implementing AI and machine learning techniques. His team created claims solutions that were used by virtually every major insurer in Germany for Property and Car damages. The team won, among other prizes, the Digital Leader Award from Computerwoche, the Digital Champions Award from Telekom and Wirtschaftswoche and the Digitaler Leuchtturm Versicherungen from Google and Süddeutsche Zeitung.
